Challenge: Baseball Factory and Softball Factory have helped more than 100,000 student athletes earn more than $1B in scholarships over the past 24 years. They’ve been a strong business by relying on an inherent knowledge of “what works”. However, they lacked outside expertise in the marketing department, and needed more than just hiring an agency to get the work done. They needed a partner who could integrate seamlessly into the company, understand their culture, and help them continue their dramatic growth into the future.
Solution: JK Squared came in and provided an internal assessment of the existing marketing operations and resources in order to make recommendations on how to best reduce redundancies and create efficiencies. The team then supplemented the existing marketing department filling roles in marketing operations, creative and executive leadership. New branding, new strategies and new tactics have been consistently tested and employed, with no differentiation between internal and external resources. JK Squared helped completely overhaul the marketing efforts, and contributed mightily to improving the entire organization – from on-field operations to sales to finance and administration.
Results: Over the past three years, together we have reduced marketing expenses, introduced advanced analytics and help transition from a telemarketing-dominant marketing machine to one that increasingly relies on digital efforts and analysis. Budgets have come down by as much as 35% year-over-year, while steadily increasing the number of players attending introductory events.
